Q: How do I make a ground instead of the checkerboard thing ?

A: Make a ground by pulling out a basic cube like so in fig 1( notice I`m in front view.) then double click the Ground you have just made and rename it (Fig 2). Finally click on the material icon and select a colour for the ground. (Fig 3)

Alternatively you can download Terranim8or , and I would suggest you get both versions the old version 6 and the newer version 7 as one does more things than others

Q:How do I start drawing in Point Edit Mode?

First Click on this icon in anim8or fig 1

Now select this icon (fig 2) and then hold down shift key, and in maineditor click your first point position .(Make sure in Configure GUI Flatoutline & Flatpoints are ticked otherwise the point will not show up)

Continue clicking points to make a quad (fig 3) completing the quad the point changes colour to Red

Now click this icon (Edge icon) fig4

and select all edges using “select all” (fig 5)

If you now have all the edges selected as above go to menu bar and select edit>fill holes (J keyboard Shortcut).

Your quad should now appear as fig 6

now you have the basics continue drawing points, making quads, ,selecting edges and filling
